Summary
Assembles, reworks, and paints cutters, granulators and also provides support to the Production Manager by assisting with purchasing, order entry and documenting PAC Cutter Shop processes and by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assembles PAC cutters and granulators. Inspects all stock parts prior to assembly. Tests completed units and records inspection documentation.
- Disassembles, cleans and reworks cutters, etc. and checks for worn or damaged parts.
- Follows all production procedures, discusses issues and ideas in the shift meeting with his / her manager and co-workers.
- Receives cutters for service, documenting damage. Fills out cutter check-in form noting all of the details required for type of service.
- Interacts with cutter technicians, machinist, and customer service, and other departments to maintain work flow and complete work on expected ship dates.
- Maintains inventory stock and replenishment and issues requisitions for stock items.
- Performs periodic inventory cycle counts.
- Prepares castings for sub-contract purchase orders. Count and log in amounts of incoming castings. Adjusts inventory for parts pulled from stock.
- Prepares cutters, granulators and parts for shipment by packing, palletizing or crating. Prepares shipping information using online or manual bill of ladings and ships items in Alliance.
- Prepares cutters and stock parts for painting including masking and cleaning of surfaces. Paints cutter, granulators, and parts inspecting parts after painting for quality prior to releasing to production.
- Cleans and maintains all painting equipment and paint booth, follows all procedures for maintenance and safety.
- Maintains daily cutter shop housekeeping by sweeping floors and emptying trash. Cleans all workbenches, puts all tools in their proper place, replenishes hardware at all workstations.
- Assist Customer service as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and to aide in cutter technical questions that may arise.
- Interacts with customer service for work approval on cutter sharpening and refurbishing. Interacts directly with cutter shop personnel to facilitate information exchange and expedite shipment of completed units.
- Requires forklift experience or training to load / unload trucks, move materials to locations and storage racks.

Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Forklift driver’s license or ability to obtain one with one within first month.
