The territory for this position is TX, LA, AR, OK, TN, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, FL. The ideal candidate will reside in TX, LA, AR, or OK.

Summary Develops leads and completes sales process on engineered systems and manages the activities of the manufacturer’s reps in assigned territory by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Confers with potential customer and/or manufacturers’ reps in assigned territory to ascertain equipment needs.
• Enters new customer data and other sales/correspondence data for current customers in CRM database.
• Facilitates the acquisition of all relevant data between the customer and the Project Engineer to support accurate and efficient cost-competitive quote preparation.
• Plans and schedules activities, including prospecting, meetings, etc., required to achieve sales goals.
• Prepares and executes annual plan to improve key account sales.
• Confers with coworkers in other department to attain technical information.
• Prepares accurate and reliable sales forecasting data.
• Manages customers in unrepresented territories as assigned.
• Represents the company at trade shows and association meetings to promote product.
• Delivers sales presentations to key clients.
• Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing orders.
• Follows established sales process and company procedures.
• Acquires and completes all sales order entry information at time of order placement.
• Continue communication with customer from receipt of order to receipt of final payment to maintain customer satisfaction, loyalty and referrals.
• Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
• Uses GoldMine software to document sales activity and customer history.
• Develops and meets sales cookbook goals.
• Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

Supervisory Responsibilities
There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position, but does oversee the performance of the manufacturers’ rep force within assigned territory.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of GoldMine Contact Management systems and MicroSoft Office Products.

Other Qualifications
Must be able to travel 60% of the time.
